DevOps Engineer

- You improve, upgrade and fix existing infrastructure, processes and support rollout
- You closely collaborate across teams and departments and technical stakeholders to find the best possible solutions and to improve existing tools, systems, technical processes and data security
- You support in troubleshooting, and have a knack for problem solving - be it around hosting, application, deployment and operational issues
- You implement, design and expand on CI/CD workflows and pipelines (preferably in GitLab)
- You do system testing in the areas of security, performance and availability
- You monitor the infrastructure and application behavior
- You also are able to support in the area of troubleshooting of operational problems and coordinate this with the development team to facilitate code deployment fixes
- You keep the documentation for systems and processes to be up-to-date

- Completed technical studies (Bachelor or Master) preferably in Computer Science or comparable education
- Very good knowledge of English (written and spoken); German knowledge as advantage
- Solid understanding of a major Cloud provider (preferably AWS or Oracle Cloud)
- Python, Bash
- Git, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins
- Terraform and application monitoring (Prometheus, Grafana)
- Deployment tools (Ansible), Build tools (Maven)
- Experience with building & deploying cloud projects
- Substantial Experience with Linux and configuration management tools are mandatory
- Security-focused mindset (principle of least privilege),
- Well-versed in Git and (IaC) tooling that enables DevOps workflows
- Experience with container technologies and experience with container orchestration (Docker, Helm, Kubernetes)
- Experience with tools in configuration and hands-on monitoring
- Strong communication skills and assertivity
