About the Team:

Swiss Re Solutions Risk Consulting provides bespoke consulting services to Swiss Re clients around the world, enabling them to make data driven decisions at all stages of their value chain with the help of Swiss Re data and expertise. This service is delivered by an international team of data analytics consultants across Americas, EMEA, and APAC regions.

To enable the consultants with data and technology, we are establishing a new team, responsible for processes, tools, and day-to-day support of this function.

About the Role:

You will be responsible for designing and leading engineering of this new capability. This includes self-managed project environments for data analysis and data science use cases, which allows collaboration with appropriate data access controls, as well as integration with a Data Lake, Data Catalog, a client facing portal, and other systems used by Swiss Re Solutions to deliver its services to clients.

Working closely with the regional Risk Consulting Leads to understand requirements of their function, you will design implementation ready architecture to meet these needs, and orchestrating engineering of the technical capability.

Key responsibilities include:

-Work closely with Risk Consulting to understand their functional needs, and translate them into technical designs.
-Lead technical development of the Analytics Lab.
-Continuously collect feedback and monitor usage of the capability to adapt it to the needs of the users.
-Ensure alignment with Swiss Re data analytics standards and security requirements.
-Assess and pragmatically adopt latest technologies where they contribute to improving the service.

Personality requirements and skills

You enjoy the challenge of working closely with data analysts, data scientists, and other data professionals, enabling them with tools and technology, while balancing diverse requirements with the need for standardization and operational optimization.

-Experience supporting data analytics and data science professionals with tailored solutions based on Azure data analytics services.
-Strong understanding of and hands-on experience with Azure services, including PowerBI, -Azure Machine Learning, Synapse Analytics, Databricks, and others.
-Experience with Microsoft Fabric is a distinct advantage.
-Hands-on experience in building and deploying Infrastructure-as-a-Service solutions on Azure.
-Experience providing architectural leadership to a team of software engineers.
-Experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies.
